Meet the Founders

Auromira and Nadia started this work in 2018 with girls’ circles to prepare for their first period. Chrysalis has since blossomed into an integral curriculum in several schools and other venues in the Auroville area. Having lived and worked in several countries, we feel passionate about creating inclusive and multicultural courses based on our combined knowledge of wellness, health and teaching.

Co-founder

Auromira Alexandra

I have worked with children and young adults for over 20 years as a Naturopathic Doctor and an educator. I completed my Biology degree at St Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, USA and a postgraduate degree in Naturopathic medicine (ND) at CCNM, Toronto, Canada. I was born in the International township of Auroville, in South India where I reside with my teenage son and cat.

Co-founder

Nadia Farahani

I am a qualified teacher and facilitator of Yoga, Ayurveda and other Indigenous Traditional systems of Medicine, Fertility Awareness, Menstrual and Sexual Education. I hold a BAC in Language and Culture Mediation with a focus on the Indian subcontinent and women’s empowerment. I am Italian-Iranian, have lived in Europe, in Asia and in the International township of Auroville.
